On April 16, 1970, the House of Representatives passed President Richard Nixon's Family Assistance Plan (H.R. 16311) by a vote of 243 to 155. It included a federally guaranteed income of $1,600. However, the bill ultimately died in the Senate Finance Committee, and it never became law.
$1,600 in April 1970 is the equivalent to $13,840 in May 2026, or $266/week.
C4SI aims to fund a guaranteed income, named C4SI's Family Assistance Plan Guaranteed Income, that matches Congress' intention in 1970. This would complement the four Guaranteed Incomes C4SI has already funded.
A $266/week Guaranteed Income requires $266K in C4SI's Investment Pool.
